2021 RACING RESULTS

Peacemaker

• AYC Spring Regatta - first in class, first overall, winner of best overall ORC performance topping some of the best sailors in the country – the event was combined with NYYC IC 37 championship
• NYYC Annual – third around the island, first in class, fourth ORC overall – 44 top level US yachts competing
• BIRW – first in class, first around the island.
• Newport Cup – first in class, third overall out of 30+ boats of all kinds sailed by best of Newport sailors for the absolute and ultimate win. PM lost to a VX ONE sailed by Jeremy Wilmot (Disney Morning Light) and a foiling kite sailed by Casey Brown – Webb graduate (Wyspa Tech). PM finished the fastest of all keel boats beating such legendary sailors as Brad and Ken Read.

Groupe 5 YCC

• AYC Spring Regatta - first in doublehanded division
• ALIR – first in ORC class and fleet, second in PHRF. Team of one coach, one current Webb student, youth program coach (a student himself) from Noroton YC, former AYC Young American student. Sailing shorthanded in fully crewed division in an ocean race against seasoned competition.
• STC Vineyard Race – second in doublehanded division

J70 YCC

• AYC Spring Regatta - second in class

Williwaw YCC

• AYC Spring Regatta - fourth in class
• ALIR – first in class, first in fleet, best performance by  youth team, best performance by first time skipper (all WEBB students)
• YRALIS  Annual Perpetual Gitana trophy for best combined score in the spring and second best overall.

Vicitan

• STC Vineyard Race – Corinthian Trophy awarded to best corrected time by a youth team. Team of URI students led by former YASA sailor Will McKeige. Will has been a NEKA sailor for two years. Was part of several winning NEKA teams as well as other teams outside of the foundation. When not in school works at Newport Doyle loft as a sailmaker.
